Hey guys! Time flies and its just 1 more week to the graduation parade. Looking back at the times that I had in Tekong, there are a lot of good moments that is still fresh in my mind and also a lot of bad ones. I can still remember the route marches, in particular the 12km march. Though the fact that everyone is tired, but I still see people helping each other out by easing their load and people encouraging each other. In fact, I had one of the defining moments in camp last week when I passed my IPPT through station retest. To be honest, I really think that it's god unconditional love that see me through it, as I have never passed standing broad jump in my entire life. Earlier in the day, I prayed to god to provide during the test and he really did. Besides that, my bunkmates really played a major role in helping me to pass by cheering me on.
This entire week are filled with competitions and celebrations that spelled the end of our BMT life. For me, there was a slight disappointment as my acting role in the NE presentation gt scraped off. However, I still take pride in doing as a backstage crew to make the entire performance a success. Our performance is about whether it make a difference if NS is introduced during world war II and the entire performance is divided into 3 parts: 1) the japanese occupation during word war II, amidst the racial disharmony and showcasing the vulnerability of Singapore to external invasion 2) training in NS 3) the empowerment NS could make to the people to fence off the Japanese invasion. At least, we lost with dignity as the winning company, cougar company, showcased a spectacular show that uses the lightings and manpower.

The performance basically centres around a young student who visited a museum one day and saw a statue about racial disharmony. After which, he was taken back into time and he channel all his power by uniting the different races to fight the Japanese. Also, he went to find a weapon expert call Ah Hua, though she is a hostess. However, they were spotted and captured by the british as they viewed their act as something that rebel against them. Eventually, they managed to escape through a tunnel beneath their cell but met the japanese soldiers along the way. The story came to a twist when it reveals that Ah hua is a spy planted by the Japanese soldiers to track what the student and the leaders of different races are doing and they kept some people of different racial background as POWs. Eventually, everybody unite for one cause and manage to kill all the Japanese soldiers. Eventually, the student went back to the present after that.

Well, its been a long time since I last blogged, especially since I got enlisted in June. Therefore, I shall do a short update of the things that I have been doing. Basically, this week we are practising our individual field craft, which involved some military training such as fire movement drills, target indication, file movement and urban operation movement. I also had various tests this week, which are my 4th IPPT and also my technical handling test. Overall, I still fail my IPPT but there is a great improvement from the previous one. In fact, the most improved stations are 2.4km and chin up, which I could run at 12:12 mins and did 6 times respectively. I also had my HG livethrow and it was cool, I had a round of practice throwing and the other is the live one. Well, initially it was scary to know that there is a grenade in your pouch, especially when it is a live one. However, through the process, not only do I gained a once in a life time experience, but it really allows me to learn to react under such circumstances, especially when one is under a emotional state of mind.

Today was my last day of month that is been taken into account for my current month's pay. Well, have been on different sites this whole week; I worked at power seraya ltd on Tuesday, Wednesday at super bean international ltd and today at Singapore technologies kinetics. God really gave me a lot of trials through work this week as I experienced a host of problems during work this week.
Well, on tuesday, when I was at power seraya ltd, our site IC was late for about 30 minutes plus, so when we reached and were asked to setup the stations, the crowd started to build up rapidly. As the label searcher, I need the laptop to key in the particulars and print out the labels, but then it is unavailable cos its with the IC herself, so I decided to write the particulars on the paper before letting them to proceed to other stations. Its only after the IC asking me then I realised that I never manually wrote down the labels which may cause confusion. However, I believe that I can work under stress situations in the future cos of these encounters and I learnt to be more cautious about these minor details that ppl normally will forgo.
As for today, we went to singapore technologies kinetic co., which is deep inside the bukit timah nature reserve. In fact, I was kind of worried when one of the site ICs, pamela, told me abt the monkeys roaming around tat area. But well, I find them rather harmless and the baby monkeys r v cute! They will stare at me with this innocent look when I was admiring them. After which, when we are waiting for the issuance of the pass to get into the area, we saw this 2 monkeys making out on the roof and in bright daylight! But that aside, for the work, I find it rather tedious because at the beginning, people from different appointment timeslot start crowding into the room and they dun seems to know about their timeslot themselves, so its hard to keep track. Also, as most of them are factory workers, therefore, I have to be translator for some of them amidst the business and also have to deal with some hostile people.
After which, I went to NP to play Wii with my cg peeps, well its my 1st time playing wii and its really fun! We played games like wii sports and played sports like archery, swordfighting, table tennis, canoeing, baseball, bowling, boxing , cycling and so on, in fact its better than the recreational room in RP where they only have one wii machine. Well, my favourites are bowling and swordfighting because I keep getting strikes and spares and easy to navigate and swordfighting because its really depends on your defence and attacks so its kinda interesting to alternate between them.

Well, this week has been hectic and busy, particularly for my work. Have been going to starhub call centre to conduct health screenings for the employees there and I will be going down to IBM international holdings tomorrow. Really pray that the holy spirit will renew my body and that to have wisdom for tmw position, which is registration, which to me is quite a challenge. Anw, watched clash of the titans wif my cg just nw, I think the movie itself is not bad, love the scene where Perseus and Kraken fought to save Argos and the scene when they got to fight Medusa to get her head. The ending is nice as Perseus get to reunited with lo, which is the woman that he fell for.

Looking at the gods, I realized how perfect my god is. In the movie, they showcase evil desires to fight for power,lust, jealousy and pride, but our god show sacrificial love and other characteristics that no other gods will show. In the show, the people are gradually dissatisfied mainly because of the god's tyrant behaviors and Zeus decided to destroy the human race because of their insolence and vanity , but in Jesus case, despite the fact that human race are sinning against him, still choose to bless them in their daily lives. This shows how great God's love is.

Went for Easter service and played LAN wif the cg. Well, was quite late for usher duty today and got assigned to do the front seats with the youth ushers. Initially, I dreaded about that decision cos I prefer to stick with the polydin ushers and my impression on youth people are noisy and hype up, which does nt goes well with my personality. However, after getting to know them better, I find no issue in working with them. I find the testimony by Anthony and Huixian very touching and inspiring, I was touched by their selfless love towards their baby and inspired that despite of the many difficulties they faced taking care of their child, they still put their utmost trust in Jesus because of the assurance of god's word. Went to play LAN at parklane mall, I teamed up with Ruihao, Clarence n Bing Sheng to play L4D2. Well, since most of them are newbies, so I have to like lead them in the game. We played the map dead centre, and we have a lot of funny moments in it, like etc. we always accidentally shoot our own teammates and one teammate of us threw the malavao wrongly n burnt his team members instead. But nonetheless, we had a great time building chemistry with each other through this game and also understands each other's strength and weaknesses.

Hi guys! Sorry for not updating this blog for such a long period of time! Well, if u guys are wondering what am I doing for this past few weeks, I am currently working as a part time project assistant under day spring medical group and also spending time with my new cg. I have also just sent my application form for RWS via a friend under the refer a friend programme that they had. Working as a project assistant maybe tiring(working hours is between 8 am- 12 pm estimate), but I have met with many interesting n funny encounters when I am working at various project sites. One of the main highlights of the holidays is the SEED camp 2010, through this camp, I get to know my new cg members better, to build the base of creating better friendships. In fact, I am a person who rejected the idea of NS a lot, its like I try to avoid talking about it or mentioning anything abt it, but through this camp, I realised that I am thinking NS on a very surface level. God allowed me to see NS on a wider perspective, through Jeremiah's speech, I get to understand the importance of men leading and building a strong vision for god.Therefore, I prayed to god that through these few months left before enlistment, I really pray for conviction to serve him and build up my faith in him as it is impt to guard my heart in there. Also, we went to fetch aloysius at the airport on monday, had a great time sharing lives with zhiyang and bing sheng about NS ministry and opening our lives.I believe that god really created all these opportunities for us to come together to fellowship and build up strong friendships.

I can't expect myself to blog now when I am reading resources for FYP! Actually I am watching a show call' diminishing horizon' hosted by Thomas ong. FYI, I have been a fan of such travel documentary shows since young as I am a person who likes to travel and also experience and try out new things. Today's episode is on maldives, an island paradise being threatened by the dangers of rising sea levels caused by global warming. It's actually not my 1st time hearing of maldives, my 1st time was I am in secondary school. Since young, I have always have the desire to travel to these island nations(i.e. maldives, Bahamas and Bora Bora), because I would like to experience true quietness and peace and spend a whole afternoon fishing or scubadiving, appreciating the beauty and resource god has given us and calm down our minds to feel the holy spirit moving in us. Apart from that, I would want to experience the vibrancy and urban setting of the country by visiting the local markets and go to the night spots. However, going to Maldives cost a bomb man!!!! Needless to say about the accomodation in the resorts, even rental of flats cost $100-150 US dollars and getting around in speedboat is ex too at around $300 US dollars! However, I will really want to try sitting on the seaplane and experience the vibrancy of male, the capital hehe... yeah all these are my desires for now.. really pray that I will have a chance to go there one day!

Well....offically 3 more days to holidays, can't wait for it man! wooohoo! excited.... time to let my hairs down and slouch on my chair to enjoy to breeze. This semester has just passed so quickly, within a blink of an eye. Yet, its demanding and tiring, with expectations and deadlines to meet, i.e. FYP and school work and so on. Even during the holidays, I have to continue with them but at the v least I was given more time and space to finish them and at the same time, enjoy and have fun. JY to myself, especially 16th dec which is my PP assessment day!

Just returned from watching 2012=), well actually before I watched 2012, I knew about it already from my environmental education module facilitator. Personally, I do not believe that 2012 will be the end of the world because part of me told me that it is not true as it is a speculation and also in the bible it did not specifically mention when is the end of the world, except that it mentioned that in 2 Peter 3:10' But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Therefore, with a curious heart of wanting to know whats the hype about it, I went to watch.

Well, I felt that movie on the surface, graphically is fantastic, from the earthquakes to the tsunamis even the arks built. However, I felt that the storyline is very unrealistic and not original, as the last part of the movie is totally a ripped off from the noah ark story just that they make it into a modern version and its really not realistic even if a real Apocalypse really hit the world to survive for so long on the arks plus abling to house 400000 people makes it very uncredible. However, this movie also shows me a lot about family ties and also human compassion and the dark side of human, especially when Adrian( geologist) make his last call to his dad, it really touches me that despite knowing that he is going to die anytime when he is out at sea, he still encourages and pushes adrian to continue saving human kind. As for the part on human greed, especially when the point when human are fighting for survival, they are always thinking about getting themselves out of the situation instead of conscious of the need to save others at the same time. This can be seen clearly from Anheuser actions. However, there are some funny scenes that made up for the long duration of the movie.

Had a v cool day today! As some of you guys know, I am recently actively preparing in a flashmob under ' Action for Aids' for a programme call ' Livelife'. Well, with the 1st time performing a flashmob, its also my 1st time going to a club and the experience is electrifying! HAHA! Me and Jaslyn actually reached at arnd 7 plus and we are considered one of the earliest to reach as most of the dancers except alvin have nt arrived. Therefore, we actually spend the time slacking around and practice on our own. It is until 8 plus when the instructor, Christopher came and some of his dancers that we started our real rehearsal. We have a major shift in dancing position again due to a lack of space of the stage.

Saw some crazy stuff going on, because the club decided to use helium to pump out balloons as decos, so right there is this guy n his bunch of frens who actually played along with them and they actually tried to tie them at his backside and its like create a whole mess and a fool of themselves. Gosh. Another thing is we also play along with this balloon that deflates, so Jaslyn was liked trying to take in Helium to try creating funny noises, instead of going high pitch, her voice become irregular HAHAHHA!

Anyway, the flashmob was split into 3 parts, 1st part is 2 guys dancing the nobody dance, secondly is our turn to dance the flashmob and also the third part is the candyman dance by christopher and his dancers. Gosh, thats a master piece man, their dance is super sexy and nice! HAHA! Got chance I will upload here. Basically, I think the whole performance was not bad at least I danced everything correctly and enjoy myself on stage and after that had some drinks with Jaslyn and jason gang, club to the music of womanizer and nobody. Also had a HIV test done to support this event and feel v pekcek cos of the way I scrabbed my gum for testing HAHAHA!

Well, another hectic week is over, thank god for the various trials this week! Seem a lot of weaknesses of myself that has grown over time and now seeking to change them. Had decided to participate in AFA Livelife massdance flashmob at play and went to their rehearsals. Dancing was never easy especially to a rookie like me who do not have any dance training before, therefore have to learn everything from scratch. The rehearsal is cool but it made me notice I do not have coordination between hands and legs which is definitely important in dancing... reminds me of one taiwanese dance show where celebrities who do not have dancing experience to do a piece of assigned dance with the participating team, same experience faced here. Nonetheless, enjoyed the training and sweat a little which I liked as I have nt worked up for v long as I ponned Napfa training for a mth. The dance instructor is very professional and keep asking whether we can catch up and the staff at AFA were v sweet by printing song lyrics and buy drinks for us =). A nice end to the week filled with UTs, lessons and FYP.

Well, now is UT season, have been studying almost everyday until I am almost in love with studying theories HA HA. Well, highlights of the week is with the 2 sillies of cos! HAHAHA! Well, earlier in the day went to send off female silly! Ahhhhh she will be away for 6 days, gonna missed a good listening ears, her super crappy jokes and braces HAHAHA! Finally have a chance to see her sister and mum and sadly, she don't look like anyone of them, HAHAHA! Ok random. Another thing is I wana apologise to male silly cos he has to wait for almost an hour for me to reach there and he has to ' do nothing' in this period of time. Also, had a fun time talking to male silly, get to understand him better as a person and it is indeed interesting to know people of his personality type. Still waiting for him to show his bike helmet to me leh* wink wink* HAHAH!
Also, we planned a b day celebration for him at Jpot earlier this week. Really wana thank god that we can come together to celebrate this sacred moment for him as the lord choose this date for him to be given birth. HAHAHA.... female silly was liked telling me before surprising him that she actually brought male silly on a recce to the boutique that she bought his gift, however, happened that he mentioned he dun like that particular shirt that she bought, so she quite demoralised. HAHAHA!Plus male silly so distracting I need various tries then can receive her message. Also, we played the santa claus game and of cos it is designed in a manner to sabo and make male silly do forfeit, in the end become photo taking session. Interesting forfeit... HAHAHAHA!
On the bad side, I realised I have drifted away from my cg people probably I am nt close with them in the first place or I have not spend enough time to really fellowship with them. Especially during unit cg, I really felt weird to be there and I do not know if they are the people that I used to know.Also, having really serious stress and mood swings recently, think have to control my emotions a bit, that I only know through god this is possible.

awwww..... time flies, school has gone into the 4th week and understanding test is reaching soon, seriously have to start studying by this week to prevent overcramping of modules to study haha! anw... ytd went out with the 2 sillies and its always so crazy I mean literally! Hahah! I mean the female silly at ion orcahrd and was intending to buy something for that silly but it seems that there is nothing really nice to shop about plus do not have his fav limited edition shirt. Therefore, we went around ion window shopping, eat like crazy, treating here like hongkong paradise and waste money and blah blah. Met her group people and enjoy their company and went to amk hub to meet male silly to have pepper lunch. I never tried before pepper lunch bt I would say the 1st attempt is really a mixture of feelings! Panick , excited and many more! hahaha! Panick because of that I dunno hw to cook and stired excited is because the food is really nice and my skill of cooking maggie mee is nowhere worse hahahaha! yeah!Went to icekimo also and tried their horlick, tiramisu and milo icecream, very nice and affordable.... hahaha! Their ice cream is handmake and its afforable at 1 scoop-$2.80, 2 scoops-$4.20,3 scoops-$6.00. Yeah.... had a day of fun fellowship and also nice food yum yum.... I think I will not be anywhere near anroxic looking soon HAHAH!

Learnt a few interesting things in class today:
1) Anti social: is it really means the person don't have friends? The real meaning behind anti social is to be self centred and not responsible to the society. One example can be vandalism, it is considered as an anti social act.

2) Introversion: It is also meaning you cannot make friends? No... it is about the way you behave yourself, such as do not take initiated to work with other people and perhaps when you do things you will think more deeply about yourself. Introversion does not affect your social life.

3) Multiple personality:Does it mean the person is weird? No! What we see is people's behaviour but not personality, behaviour is not the same as personality, bahviour is the outward form of your personality and behaviour can be changed on circumstances, therefore resulting in the so call multiple personality.

Reasons for writing this: Realised some of the common words used by modern society are stereotyping and changing the real meaning of certain words into the bad way. Haiz.....

Just came back from steamboat gathering with fellow ushers of team 1 and 2, had a fun time fellowshipping with them and getting to know new ushers like adam and audrey. A good end to the week, which is very tiring and testing. This semster indeed is very stressful for me because of the way the schedule was fixed and the nature of the modules which requires a lot of pre readings and justifications. I admit I have been yearning for the end of the week every single day this week and finally it came. God really put me through hard time in school this week, went through debates and lesson with a lot of discussions and brain movements going on, I am sure that when I clinch to god, I am going to overcome everything that I encountered

Well, 1st week of school has ended! And.. seriously I am disappointed with my own performance. I told god during service just now, I have been too stuck up with my comfort zone that cause me to unable to share my thoughts with my teammates, which cause me to unable to meet my own goal. Also, I gave myself personal stress, which I thought is unnecessary because I gave myself stress to work according to my own goal but nt god's, therefore it sort of like pleasing myself, when my goals should reflect god's vision for me. Therefore, I guess I fail to let god really work through me because of personal issues and god today really encourages me a lot, in the part which talks about to rebuild our lives by wise up in dealing with discouragement, as I reflect back, indeed there are a mixture of negative feelings in me during the past week, frustration, belittle of oneself, envy and so on.

Therefore, god showed me that we should actually tell the problems how big our god instead of keep telling him about our problems, which can be out of desperation and god can't work through us when we are emotional as it is internal threat which I think is more dangerous. Therefore, god really spoke to me is that instead of keeping the discouragement within ourselves, we should spend time and pray to god about it, to ask for more courage and confidence in him, instead of bombing everything to him, which will only cause further discouragement if god really never work through you when you yourself has a personal expectation that god will do everything according to your expectations.

Just went to watch the ugly truth with cheryl and shawn hahaha my 2 beloved ushers. Quite a last min decision but since I have nothing to do after school plus I wana watch this movie. The movie on the whole is very crappy and too many sexual statements made which I won't revealed( haha I am nt stumbled by it).
Well, the story is basically centred around this TV producer(Abby) who has been initially trying hard to improve her tv programme ratings which is staggering low, however, the tv company found the host(Mike) of a programme called the ugly truth which talks about the reality man-woman relationship and sexual relationships. Initially, that tv producer don't really like him because of his crappy programme which seems not logical to her, but since that the company focus on ratings she has to accept it.The twist turns when Abby start to have a crush on a neighbour(Colin) and consults Mike for help.As they progress along with it, Mike and Addy slowly develop feelings for each other and eventually leading to Addy confessing to Colin that she had been turning into someone else to suit his checklist of ideal partner. Though at a point, Mike changed to CBS cos of better opportunities,Addy managed to get together with him.

Some lessons I learnt from this lesson, well, humans, particularly in a relationship, will not act according to their true character but changed into someone else to suit the opposite sex checklist.Also, I felt that one part of the movie make sense which is Mike mentioning that men should never judge woman as she is as but go deeper into ' layers' of her characteristics to know her better because according to him, the ugly truth about women is that they are always covering up themselves to please the opposite sex, same for men.

Well, just came back from the napfa training this morning. I think basically it gives me a wake up call to really start training for napfa test when I find today's training tough. Actually, I think today's training is quite basic whereby we do certain exercises and warm ups to different parts of our body such as our triceps and our butt muscles. We also did jogging at the end of the training. I think RP really emphasis on training the guys strong by getting physical trainers from NS to train us up, though today is a bit slack but I know its sort of like the basic of the training sessions we are going to have and there is still a long way to go!

really wana thank god a lot of times, lord u have blessed me even if I dun deserved sometimes. This sem, god has blessed me good grades, something which I am v grateful for. Scored a 2.39 for gpa this sem, though it may seems like an under average gpa, however, god has blessed me with tremendous improvement in grades for the previous months when I thought I would have already suck at studies. Scored a A, 2 Bs and a C+ and a B+ for FYP, really have improvement from last sem.I still can remember for environmental education I need to use paper to do for ut, at that point I really prayed to god abt it and a bit sian cos of it. However, god blessed me god grade for that ut too. The lord will not shortchange as long as we have trust and faith in him. For non believers frens who are reading this post, please allow me to share with u the change in my life after receiving christ and u will know how much god has blessed me.

Just catch accident just now with jaslyn and fione, well I think the whole plot of the movie is quite nice just that the ending is a bit non expected with a flashback.The movie is basically that there is this accident planner team led by louis ku that actually' plotted' murders which seems on the surface as been an accident. However, during one of their supposedly' accidents', things went wrong and one of their team members( fatty) died during that accident. Therefore, Louis started to find out the enemy who is trying to wipe their entire team out. However, the story took a twist towards the end that in fact its one of their team members( uncle) who made an error eventually caused fatty to die.However, it is too late as louis had plotted the suspected culprit's gf to be killed in a car accident.
This movie not only gave me a insight of how those criminals who planned all these crimes as their careers think in their mind. Another thing I gather from this movie is that, nobody should rely on his instinct to do things, even how smart a accident planner such as Louis is, based on instinct to do things eventually will get to nowhere, ie. in this show innocent lives get lost ( the suspect gf). That was why I am relieved I am in the covenant with the god that I worship, because I know that he has the best plan in my life and as I know that I am in the truth, I will not rely on human's instinct which will get you to nowhere except ben manipulated by satan. Yesterday was indeed a very tiring day, but I decided to give thanks to god. I know its kinda hard, but I am learning. The whole afternoon was spent at ecp for the 1st aider on wheel duty. Kinda refreshing for me as I always have duties done on foot but this time is on wheels. Huili, me, fione , jas and my perd perd stephen volunteered for this event and we had to cycle from big splash to the skate park, a total of 2 areas. I think god gave me the most testing as my bike actually broke down in the middle of the cycling trek on the way to the seafood restaurant area due to loose of the seat grip causing the metal thing behind my seat to hit the wheels causing the bike to be unable to be used. Therefore, I have to walk all the way back to the bike shop at big splash to change the bike. Its a very long walk back there and I occupied my mind with a lot of random thoughts and sang hillsong songs along the way. After swopping partners, we still have a lot of situations here and there. I got a big fall and suffered scratches on both of my hands, thank god for giving me good reflexes hahaha even though I nv do sports often. And along the way we nearly stumbled here n there cos of our bikes and huili labelled this kind of cycling as ' dong nan xi bei' HAHAHAH ! Along the way to that place, we saw a guy who can slugged on his bike even though he is cycling, power man and a lot of things. But nonetheless, if u let me choose, I will prefer west coast cos of more area to have activities and also it is lesser vibrant than ecp which is v noisy, I felt like lying on the piece of grassland when we had X2 family day there HAHAHA! yeah so bye for now !

Ok this is a total random post, but then I have been craving for mooncakes recently and I wan durian skin de! but then haiz.... my family seems nt to be in a mooncake festival mood this year so no one bother to buy... and and and... I am starting on a new drama call heading to the ground, Yunho is starring in there! awww... though nt a big fan of him, but I like him out of the 4 DBSK! haha! and and and... I just bought a new slip in shoes from far east plaza.... very nice looking and simplistic! best thing is anywhere in far east... the same pair of shoes cost the same price.

Word for life was just over! Honestly, I have to say this workshop is indeed very good, and I would say they cover 4 bible characters, moses, daniel, rahab and paul. Out of this 4, I think that Daniel really spoke to me a lot.
In one of the points, Daniel chose to held fast to his faith in god through times of difficulty, in daniel 6:3-5, daniel was deemed as a righteous man and the King trusted him a lot to even wanted to pass the kingdom to him, however, the officials in the country were jealous of him but however, find no fault in him, thus they decided to make a rule in the country that everybody are to not worship any god but only to the king. In daniel 6:10, he chose to continue to worship god despite of the decree set and barriers that he is facing. However, god really saved him when he was thrown into the lion den, in daniel 18-24, the angel of god saved him from the mouths of the lions, and he also gained much favour from his king, from daniel 13-17, because he is a person who is god-centric, and eventually the king ordered daniel's enemeis to be thrown into the lion dens with their families and made christianity the default religion in the country. Therefore, even the king of daniel came to know god despite he is a non believer before that because of daniel's persevrence of faith in god and his righteousness.
Therefore, this set me to reflect about myself, am I really showing the people god's real character in it or showing my human's behaviour in it? Am I showing emotions such as been frustrated easily, cursing people etc. And another thing is that do I give up on god easily when I knew myself that god himself has not done with me yet, because of one small obstacles and god choose not to answer your prayer, do you really say god you are not answering me and you have forsaken me. Therefore, this lesson really sets me to deepen my faith on god, something which I have been working for the past few weeks.

Its 12.36 am and I am kinda start to have cravings on anything that came into my mind =( hahaha but anyway, I would like to introduce some good stuff here. Ion orchard is indeed a paradise to visit for food cravers, just visit wana visit again. For me, I went on tuesday but its kinda rush cos needa send my parents home, but get to try some cool stuff. there is a ice cream store call marvellous cream is damn cool, the ice cream is cheap( less than $10), and also that the scoop is quite big. Though quite sad there is no cookies and cream icecream, however, the golden vanilla is quite nice. Plus chocolate chips which is super cruchy, the taste is marvellous. You can choose whether to buy cone or cup, if cup then they will use a biscuit base to cover the ice cream and u cn eat the biscuit at the end.environmentally frenly and innovative.Yeah, this post is kinda random hahaha!

Just came back from sherperding with stephen, and I really felt that today's lesson is speaking right at me. The lesson is about the habit of secrecy, and I feel that it is good that I recap what I learn here.

Matthew 6:1-4

1"Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Stage 1: Live to please others
Stage 2: getting tired of pleasing others and start to fight back
Stage 3: thinks that no one cares about him

Therefore, the above cycle is actually meaning that man's glory is temporal and god's glory is eternal. People who live to please man will ultimately be tired of pleasing other people's demands and will actually question why others are not approving of what they are doing and seek people to contribute the same effort as he is. Ultimately, he will feel that no one really cares about him because he felt that he is not been approved or appreciated by other people.

God actually desries us to lead a life of secrecy,because when we blessed someone secretly, we are knowing that we are doing to please god but not personal glory and approval by others. This can actually strengthen our relationship with god and independent of opinions from others as god will protect us from critics of others as said in Psalms 31:20.

Another thing is that secrecy teaches us to have love humility not only to others but also god. As stated in philippians 2:3, by blessing other people secretly, you are making yourself humble by wanting the best out of them. In turn, you will be humble before god seek to serve Him without any personal agenda ie. wanting to rise up as a CL. The quote below is a total irony to me but we should still do so:

'In a competitive situation, pray that others will be more outstanding and praised and rejoice in their success'

Amazing. isn't it? We should have this kind of loving and giving spirit to others and as we know we are secured in the lord.

The most important point that I learn the most is that secrecy teaches us to look to god to meet our needs instead of people. Instead of asking people to meet our needs, we should seek god instead of our needs when we know that only he is able to use his grace to do so. Furthermore, we need the grace of god to tame our desire for seeking other's attention about our needs as if we are secured in the lord, we will not rely on human to fufill them.

I have been having severe migraine recently, it is so pain that it causes me to have loss of concentration and also unable to think properly. I have been trying everything I could, pray, hearing music that are use for therapeutic uses and so on. Nothing seems to work.... I even break down at meridien just now, feeling so helpless, feeling I am alone no one even god can help me, I feel like dying.

However,Stephen told me one thing, have I been relying a lot on god? Or perhaps I am doing so when I need it but not always? Do I just rely on god when I have having this migraine or after having FYP presentation I will just forget every single thing god has blessed me. X2 meeting also speak back to me, is my prayer to the lord correct? Am I asking for favour from god or I am praying for the glory of the kingdom? Luke told me that I should start making prayers for the glory of his kingdom and showing appreciation for his kindness.

Thank you lord! I am feeling much better now! Today is a wake up call for my overconfidence in myself thinking that I have faith in you when I do not have constantly. I am also amazed by this brotherhood, in the past I thought this plate of sand is so scattered and did not bother to gather them back onto the plate, but lord, I am so amazed they prayed for me today! I have taken their kindness so much in the past! Thank you lord for everything u have done today!

Well, I am here to update again! I think my blog is becoming boring recently as nobody tags me after reading my posts. Therefore, people pls tag to signify that u guys have been visiting my blog! hahaha this is my 1st experience of using RP's rented laptop to blog and honestly this laptop has been giving me lots of problems for the past half week, with problems such as constantly unable to log into msn till been v laggy.... arghhhh, but no choice, compare to my own laptop which cnt even on for most occasion due to its faulty motherboard. Well, UT3 has ended and I think I am gonna flunk for my 3rd UT, which I think I simply answer the questions anyhw and some of the points in one of the qs are similar. ahhhh nvm, its over plus my last paper which is my fav module I have to use paper due to my faulty laptop and procastinating from me.

I suddenly feel old recently, because the new batch of ushers are coming in, its a whole new experience from them n I can identify it cos I am 1 a few mths ago. Through this few mths, I learn a lot of new skills and I know I grow a lot, from serving people to blessing people. Thanks god for using me to serve in this ministry. I think one thing I can still grow is interpersonal skills with fellow ushers as I feel I still yet to know them well yet. Filming for the usher training class is great as I speak my personal experience and encourage the new ushers. Feel a sense of achievement doing it though I felt the things I said could have been better.

hahaha and to answer to the area that i cn grow in ministry, I am taking the 1st step tmw by watching GI Joe with cedric and reb, really pray that it is going to be a good fellowshipping time with them!

hahaha! yeah FYP is over! Felt really blessed by god! I felt my performance today was quite ok, not really outstanding as I at least speak up the information on the things that I know. I was 2nd in line to present today and clement long assessment made me extra nervous. The most lame thing is the first thing when I got into the room, the assessor asked me whether language in my poster is it english==. However, can't blame la cos my poster in presentation mode is all cramp together and the words cnt be seen clearly. Basically, the 2 assessors ask fairly a lot of qs. Qs have been asked on my lit review, conclusion and also methodology. Well, I think that generally I think that I did ok for today, yeah just wana thanks god for what he has done.

FOP is such a impact! Wow! hahaha... I attended it with Ting Feng, Kenneth and some NYP brothers( wei hong, hong xiong, wai kang). This year FOP do not have hillsongs or planetshakers, but true worshippers!!!! hahaha.... I love their P n W songs especially the lyrics though most of them I have not sang before. We also sang songs such as how great is our god which are songs by hillsongs too. Had a great time praying to god too, for our church, for true worshipper and pastors on stage. Today sermon was about church and also the trinity. Pastor mark connon is so humourous, especially the part when he asked one of the pastors from off stage to act as the holy spirit to illustrate how holy spirit works in our lives. Very impactful speaker and definitely his sermon is very easy to understand. I wana pre order the sermon CD from the past 2 days but cos no money so cnt pre order ==.

Well, saw today in christian bookshop on this movie call fireproof by director of facing the giant! hahah the movie is about this fireman who works all out for his career,however, his marriage is on the edge. However, at the end god used his father to change him and ultimately saving the marriage. Heard that this movie has saved hundreds of marriage, amazing right? Hahaha... I believe this is a very random post, but I can say that I really loved my new sherperd... stephen!Yeah brotherly love! Some points that I liked about him...
He really speak with faith about things, he won't beat around the bush and drag on issues but he will speak directly into your face. Though at times I may not like it, but I really like his feedback as a sherperd to his sheep. This shows how much he genuinely want his sheep to grow. A good sherperd definitely is not a sherperd who always plan sherperding and say and say about spiritual stuff and go out with his sheep but never really' follow up' and correct and tell him about what he needs to improve on. A good sherperd needs to really observe carefully about his sheep's life and changes as he seeks god to plan what to grow him in which aspects and apply about it.
Definitely stephen approach tend to be more work up and stressful at times, however, I felt, it is only through this kind of sherperd that I can really grow, though sometimes I will just complain inside that it is indeed stressful through sherperding, however, I will tell my sherperd about this. I have starting to learn how to feedback about things, especially to my sherperd, because I feel that through feedbacks it can build trust and with strong trust, definitely god can use him to grow me more.
So indeed, a sherperd which bothers to tell you about your weaknesses is better than a sherperd who only focus on your strengths and fail to address weaknesses( common sense).

Well, I got a lot of things to update! After much effort, I finally submitted my FYP report to my facilitator, way before my deadline which I thought I would have submitted after that. Praise the lord! This week is also a week where I see people moving on to their next life station and phase which god had planned for them. Nehemiah is moving on to the NS group soon , maybe in a couple of weeks or months, and I was posted to be under the care of stephen. Well, I can't say much about what I feel about this transition, however, I can say is that I do missed my sherperd, I mean at least he made sure personally that I am well informed about this! haha! I know god has placed me in good hands because my new sherperd is a person which can inspire people a lot and through him I can see god. hahaha I dun wana named out la but I feel that I have a lot of aspects in my life still need to be grown and through stephen and god I believe I can grown in those aspects.
Also had a good time praying to the lord yesterday during prayer meet. I really pray that the usher ministry can grow more not only in size but also in having more wisdom and skills so that we can serve god tgt. I also felt very encouraged by the word of god through sharing of verses, particularly, Philippians 2:2 and the chapter ezekiel 37. God really made me feel v refreshed after the prayer meet and indeed he ease my pain caused by migraine which has affecting the whole of this week. God is indeed worthy to praise.
Lastly, I feel that I need to be disciplined with myself by attending cls on time because I have been getting 5 NIFM for just this month.

Just update a while, I have been busying about FYP these days and with the submission date nearing, it is a reminder that its time to get priorities done. i agreed with what kenneth mentioned, deadlines don't make people dead. Instead on stressing about meeting deadlines, why not think it as a positive way that things are going to get over soon and furthermore god is going to use you withint this 2 weeks! God gave me a word 2 weeks back, 2 cor 1:8-9 . This verse is really come in timely especially during this crucial period when our FYP team maybe emotionally stress/ dead or stuck in content , but only through trust and relying on the lord, that god will resurrect us from our difficulties.
Today service is very great and set me crying and repenting before the lord, though the fact that some sins in my life I have confessed to the lord, however, I felt that guilt and shame have amplified it into the extend that even I could never forgive myself. However, today worship and sermon really touches me a lot until i surrender myself fully to the lord. Thanks lord for giving me such a wonderful day, may I praise and worship you forever.

Oh man! I want to tell everybody who is reading this that: I am quarantined. Well, on a positive note, this is a neccesary measure to make sure that the transmission of H1N1 virus is slow down. However, number of cases in RP is still increasing..... so at the end of the day, RP is still solving the tip of the iceberg but at the bottom it is still a issue to solve. On a negative side, I am so bored! Yeah , I have been at home these whole time while been quarantine. Besides, other than been quarantine I had amensia recently==. My body was gonna torn down by it, but god power made me hold on through this difficult period. In fact, I went school ytd did not know if I got LOA or nt cos nv receive the sms, then halfway through, after listening weixian say she got receive the email, then I call the help-flu hotline only to know that I was on LOA. I have no choice but to go back , somemore that day I am suppose to present a module project ==.I really hope I can get a good grade for ytd and hope this period of time cn pass soon.

1st of all, I find I have this weird habit, that is when I start blogging, I will keep blogging non stop, which is what I am experiencing now. Yup. you know guys, I LOVE MY ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION CLASS! hahaha! Well, initially, I was told abt the module is boring and all that but then right its not at all leh. The faci rocks! Actually, I feel that in RP, facis really determined a lot, he/she determine the class bondness, determine the class it is going to be half asleep, determines if the module it is going to be interesting and blah blah. Well, my faci is a ex environmental lawyer and one thing I loved about her is that she loves to make us think about certain things and omg she has tons of personal experience such as going hiking in malaysia and all that. Well, we have games 1st and its super funny, cos initially we wana sabo huili and jeff cos they r ' father and mum' of siti. And of cos huili is so reluctant to move her butt until we countdown for her to do penalty in the end we give chance let her sit on emily n jeff lap. Then rigt, Jaslyn was sabo to sit on jeff leg who in turn sit on my lap, hahaha she also another reluctant 1 while I v funny as I hold onto jeff hips when he sit on my lap. But basically, the game is to sabo jeff, huili n jeff de. Yup. The game is actually cw n me as game masters are supposed to command people to sit on other people's lap until it makes until 2 stacks which are stephen n jeff , but obviously we did nt manage to do it cos its duper hard.

I could say I spent today purposefully, getting updates abt people's lives. Today I watched the movie( monster vs alien) with zul , my sem 2 classmate in year 2 and visited my sherperd, nehemiah.

Once again, thanks zul for agreeing to meet up with me today. For those who I am closed, out of all of my classes, I can only say E54A was one of the classes that I cn bond with the people. They are all friendly people. Really very glad that zul was doing well in his job now and preparing for NS. Really wana plan more outings to know more abt the other lives in E54A. hehe... The movie is funny! Monster vs alien is full of crap but it sure entertains people , the starting is v unexpected which see the female lead susan turned into a huge giant and been escort to a secret government compound specially for monsters. One of my most favourite character is B.O.B , which talks without any brains, and he always ended up taking susan lines. hahaha those who knows knew what I am talking abt. One of my favourite scenes is when the Gallaxhar spaceship was about to explode, the announcer mentioned,' the spaceship was about to self destruct in 3,2,1 and nothing happens actually,' before complete the sentence, the spaceship explodes hahaha. Another 1 is the president of USA wants to have a mug of coffee during federal meeting, but then he nearly press the big button beside it which is to launch the atomic bomb, however, the extra segment of the movie shows him pressing and people feel like bashing him. Real life he sure got authority power nia. hahaha.Took some pictures with zul waiting for him to pass me =)

I went to visit nehemiah, now he is quite ok just that he is having split headache from his nerve extraction which is caused by a tooth decay. He mentioned that it is causing him to have bad nightmares and his sleeping patterns are disrupted and he cnt really think cos his mind is in a state of confusion. Therefore guys just keep in prayer for him! He is pretty fine le now but pray that he will be recover soon through god's grace.

IG camp

Well..... a seriously very tiring camp this time! Yup the annual red cross camp is over and I am deprived of 2 days of sleep. I can't really compare this year's camp and last year's , as each of them has their weakness and strength, but I would say this year's camp is very cosy, as most of the attendees are year 2s and year 3s when we aldy knew each other.

1st day. Well I will say beginning a bit screw up cos we are supposed to meet at 10 am but info was apparantly spread wrongly so we ended up waiting. However, all who coming for the camp turned up before 10 so its nt much of a hindrance. We settle down, have our lunch, some workshops by micheal on the fundamental principles and the whole red cross movement. We had sharing by the chairman of disaster preparation team and he shared various experiences which I has heard before already. Watched slumdog millionaire, a very inspiring movie,a guy from the slum fighting for his love and can see his determination for achieving his goal despite various oppositions such as torturing in prison and also when he as a child was locked in the toilet( he even jumped into the pool of shit) ewwww. yeah.

2nd day. Well, a very busy day for everybody, morning the welfare have to wakeup to prepare hotdogs , nuggets , bread , I had a peanut butter crush thatday had 2 slices full of it.Present the IHL slides, I actually thought I screwed up the slides by literally reading off the slides. Games, haiz bigest casulty= jaslyn 1 big balugu on the face. But its fun , played a lot of the games before ( the water bomb 1 played in pri sch PE lesson before) , the mind game is mental torturing , ke lian de clement got eliminated but I do admit most of us play cheat as I keep look at micheal cos I myself v confused and my 1st action is always wrong so I change before the game master see.. wahahaha. we had events planning class by micheal which most of us know why he gave it and we did base on his own problem statement to come up with plans for rc.Dr saiful came and share abt his experience in disaster preparation and we had a so call lighting ceremony to signify our goal in rc and what we wana do for rc. AHHHH!I cnt sleep man during 2nd day and same as 1st day some of us came out and chat abt random stuff such as pussycat dolls, david archuleta and chris brown.

3rd day had some discussion continuing from 2nd day nice breakfast and a v weird lunch with porridge that I nv ate before. They talk and talk and talk. They're getting to know each other. That's how you get to know someone—through communication. If your spouse never, ever talks to you, you have every reason to start wondering, "Do they love me?

"And that's why we show God we love Him when we talk to Him. What do you talk to God about during this kind of worship? Anything that you'd talk to your best friend about: your hopes, your fears, your dreams, your anxieties, the things you're proud of, the things you're ashamed of, your goals, your ambitions, your hurts, your cares, every part of your life. You come to God and you talk to God about anything and everything.

I just don't have the time." Then you're too busy. You'll never have the time; you must make the time to pray. If your Christian life has become routine, dull, and joyless, then take that to God and talk to Him.

Apart from this , I love listening to hillsong's god of the city because it really says about we as city dwellers , we are packed with our daily chores and work such that we can't find time for god , let alone sabbeth. I have seen many christians using it as an excuse again and again, but there is always a step to start planning a slot of your time to spend with god. This song truly shows how god can work in city dwellers lives, especially the verse

God is around us , its us that is distaning away from him and allowed him to do greater things in our lives.

Its finally the holidays! Oh man! I screwed up my UT yesterday, its so hard and its the part when I dun expected to be tested. AHHHHH! Nvm its over. Hope it can a lesson for me in the future. I actually thought this week was a week with have mix feeling on, sweet and sour ( cnt be bitter hahaha). CG on weds is very cool, games we had a modified version of indian poker with some mathematics involved and its tricky too. Praise though used it many times but cool cos very long nv had 1 , discussion sermon luke lead it pretty well and its pretty cool. Blood donation drive personally felt that it is pretty ok with a high response level though at certain points the crowd seems to be uncontrollable. Very happy to see teresa and weixian come down n donate blood though weixian in the end is test for bone marrow and teresa cos the nurse cant find her vein so cnt donate . Haiz. UTs felt that nv do my best and wana do well for the project management UT ,though I dun really like the module after taking it.

Thanks god! Finally I have ended today! Today is a real challenge to me as I have quite a big blow yesterday( some people may know), which I feared that will affect my performance today. Therefore, today morning I seek god and pray to him about the strength to deal with the hectic day I had today. Basically, for the 1st half of the day I am away in Football association of Singapore, to walk around the premises and to listen how the NSA operate. Nothing much there except for some info which was mentioned by the media manager there. Probably if it was environmental education, I will enjoy field trip more, perhaps its the way sports administration was protrayed to me as a rigid and serious module which I will not associate to field trips at all.

After which, I did the presentation of NSA, my module project which we have to do for every 5 weeks based on our problems that we learnt. I have to say that I simply smoked through today cos I found myself finding info which overlap with other teammates. =( . The slides that I presented is shared with another teammate and also do just before the presentation started.

And UT, I think today's ut really make us think a lot , especially qs on why logging cause increase in malaria, and also biophilia , how can we actually enhance on that on ourselves and why we lack of that. I have to say that I dun find my answers that fantastic cos I dun have time to double check though its 45 mins nw for UT. I find myself thinking a lot for that and I really hope that god can help me with my UT which I also hope the faci can accept my point of view too for the answers.

OMG! I had a very rush day last saturday. Ok , first of all sorry for the late post because have been busy with school. Yup. First of all,in the morning, I went cycling with huili and chau wei. It is such a tiring experience and probably my worse experience in ECP. However, it is a enjoyable experience riding with them. We cycle from 12 till 4 and from ecp all the way till changi beach park. We saw planes taking off!!! cool! How I wish to be on one of them, riding on a plane to bahamas! Gosh.... craving again. However, some problems along the way, huili bike have problem with the seat and the handles, which cause her to stop n ride for a couple of times nd we had to change bikes every now and then , which cause us to end quite late. The person actually charge us extra 10 dollars cos we overide 2 hrs which is good as in fact we have to pay 10 dollar extra each.
And I was super late for meeting with cedric! So rush went home change n go its already 5.15 pm! And all the ushers have left excpet cedric,very patient leader man for waiting for me I thought I will get all the remarks and I am the one parnicking except ced, so calm! Therefore, we bought everything and went for svc.
Sat service on mother's day. Actually for me, I do not had any hard feelings because I am not closed with my family at all so I brought a empty heart there. I have to say that certain number of things mentioned is kinda true on me, the way I relate with people and my character is influenced by my parents , especially my mum , who is in fact good at listening people problem also and a very self efficacy person. Put aside that , I told god that day that 2 years of coldness towards my mum is really enough, cos I always feel miserable whenever I face them. In the past, I choose to close one eye for my parents judgements on me, however, I fail to see their love for me. I have to say that my parents are the type of people who dun show things on the outside , therefore sometimes misunderstanding come out cos people always judge from the outside. I wrote a card for her and planned to give her soon , not on mother's day cos of various reasons ( based on my mum character, hard to give on mum day).
And I gave my designated cards to victor n ruth, really god grace, I thought I cnt finished in time ! I have to say that this time round is not well planned , a lot of loopholes here and there , very last minute, delegation of job not done( based on my personality , I need to learn to be a team worker). I have to further develop my planning skills yeah.
WHAT A HECTIC DAY. and my legs are aching n cracking then!

The Mood Cycle

Hey guys! As some of you may know, I have been doing some reading recently and I fell upon this section of a book call' becoming who god intended' which is call the mood cycle. An awesome book, I can lend whoever wants to read.

Mood/ emotions ============> desires(lust)===============> Sin!

We guys all know how emotions are in our lives, they are part of us, human, the way we think ,we act , we relate and so on. It also creates the ' internal weather' within us . There are 2 kinds of emotions , good emotions and negative emotions. according to logic, positive emotion will be harder to sin , whereas negative emotions will be easier to tame to sin cos of unmanaged emotions. Thus, this is how the mood cycle works, first of all there will be a strong negative emotion(mood) within u which cause u to have the desire which is 'pull' by something' and thus lastly cause us to sin. One very simple example, first of all when u r playing a computer game such as'l4d' , however, u keep losing, which cause u to be in bad mood(emotions), then you saw your baby sister who is crying badly in the room beside (desire) and u went over to scold him( sin).

According to paul, galatians 5:24 ' those who belong to christ jesus have crucified the flesh as a way of life with its passions, or moods, and desires'. As christians, we all know that the work of the flesh is sin and god has died for us to cleanse it. However, flesh has powerful weapons call desire and passion( which is emotion). Therefore, it really links to the 1st point I made, emotions is part of human, not of god.

Why do I think the mood cycle is important? The reason is that according to the book, a lot of christians overemphasis on lust and keep praying on that however it normally wont works, the desire to sin keeps coming back. Why? the reason is the underlying emotion is still there to' inspire' us to sin. And often, this emotion is hard to realise. Take for example some group of christians, as time goes by, they met with a lot of problems in church and this cause disappointment in their hearts and some of them did not realise it as a problem but keep pondering over , until a point when they actually left church.

Therefore, with careful address of emotions , it will be easy to cast away desires of the flesh and sin subsequently. So people, are u having negative thoughts today about someone? Ask god about it and seek help from your people that u r closed to. With positive emotions, nothing can rule u except god.

Hey guys! I have created a new blog as my old blog is currently dead and I am very lazy to change the blog skin or update posts there. However, most importantly is that I want to find back the habit of consistent blogging as a pathway to show how I as a person felt and also share certain lessons I learnt along the way of my life.

A phrase found on daphne's blog is very useful "But some, often used their blog to emo and throw very trashy thoughts into this public space irresponsibly. They even used it to flame others in a very ungentlemanly and unchristlike manner. I hope to advocate a better way and to change that." I have the same feeling too, now technology is so advance, blog hopping is becoming a hobby for many teenagers , especially u n I . However, it won't be good if you post something bad about that day because who knows u r going to influence a dozen of people with that particular idea and make them further away from christ? Therefore, it is useful to post knowledgeable stuff as a way of learning useful stuff.

I hope this can be a new start with my walk with god and his renewal in me. And I will consistent blog too =) hehe
